Move-in day is August 11th. That's about a week and a half before class starts, so come and get completely moved in at a leisurely pace well before the beginning of fall. If you do not have a room selected yet, check out the fall sign-up board to see what rooms are available. Once you've made a decision email me at the.mallet.assembly@gmail.com with what you've chosen.

A new BOG Chair has been appointed after the resignation of Tim Murphy due to housing complications. Dickie Cox is his name and no that's not just a bad joke!

Due to our change in building layout, the Mallet Assembly will not be the "Men's" Honors Residence Program but will instead become a co-ed residential environment for the duration of our stay in Palmer Hall. If the Assembly does move back to Byrd Hall at the end of the year we will regrettably not be able to continue existing as a co-ed housing option in the same way due to the archaic attitudes of the proverbial "'rents" not wanting college age "boys" and "girls" mixing and causing all sorts of mutually-assured shenanigans. Think of the children!

The Mallet Assembly is moving to Palmer Hall for the 2007/2008 academic year. Plenty of bed spaces are still available, so don't let this change your mind if you were considering living with us in the upcoming semester. More information will be available as we get it. We're still the same as we were last semester, just a new building to live in.

We have finally replaced the old 1995 Geocities look-alike pages with a much improved MediaWiki website. Maybe now it'll have a little more activity since updating will be thousands of times easier, nay millions of times easier.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

If you didn't know already we've got a great event lined up on Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the Ferguson Theater. In conjunction with the UA Film Society, the Mallet Assembly is putting on a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show to benefit the Frederick Williams Scholarship.

We are encouraging you all to dress up for the event and join in on the audience participation that the Rocky Horror Picture Show is famous for. You will need to bring your own items, but please do not bring any of the following: candles, buttered toast (unbuttered fine), and hotdogs. For a full rundown of the night's festivities go to www.mallet-assembly.org/rockyhorror.

We will be collecting donations for the Frederick Williams Scholarship at the door.

Event Info: Location: Ferguson Theater Date: Wed. November 1. When: 9:30, directly following Dawn of the Dead at 7:30 Why: To benefit the Frederick Williams Scholarship. Who: The Mallet Assembly, the UA Film Society, and YOU
